Overview
Lexington Sporting Club is seeking a creative and driven Social Media Intern to support the club's digital storytelling across multiple platforms. This role offers hands-on experience creating real-time and trend-driven content for a professional sports organization, with a focus on capturing the energy of training, matchday, and post-match moments.
Working closely with the Director of Social Media, Creative and Digital Content, the intern will help produce engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, and other social channels while contributing to the club's overall digital presence and fan engagement strategy.
Academic Term Available: Academic year 2026-2027
Responsibilities
  • Assist with capturing and creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and other club social media platforms
  • Support the development of creative video and static content ideas aligned with the club's brand and voice
  • Monitor social media trends and assist with applying relevant ideas to club content
  • Assist with capturing content at training sessions, with availability expected for multiple morning sessions each week
  • Support live matchday content coverage for Instagram Stories and other real-time social platforms
  • Capture designated in-game content from assigned field-level locations, including goals, celebrations, and fan reactions during play
  • Assist with capturing post-match content featuring players and coaches following key moments and wins
  • Edit mobile-first video content using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar editing software
  • Review social media performance data and assist in identifying content trends and areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok
  • Experience creating and editing short-form mobile video content
  • Familiarity with CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar editing tools
  • Strong creative instincts and awareness of current digital trends
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and reacting quickly to live events
  • Availability for morning training sessions, matchdays, and post-match coverage
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to represent the club professionally in player and staff environments
