Job description

Candlewood Lake Elementary School is looking for an excellent Long Term Sub Elementary Teacher.

Location:
Brookfield Public Schools Candlewood Lake Elementary School: 3rd Grade

Important Dates:

  • August 20 & 21: New Hire Orientation
  • August 24: First Day for Current Teaching Staff
  • August 27: First Day for Students
  • Length of Assignment : August  - TBD

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and delivering an engaging, standards-aligned elementary curriculum to support students' academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment where students are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Collaborating with fellow educators and school staff to support student development and success.
  • Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Maintaining classroom management and implementing school policies and procedures.
  • Completing all required administrative tasks, including grading and reporting on student progress.

Requirements:

  • Valid Connecticut Elementary Teaching certification.
  • Experience teaching at the elementary level preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Passion for working with children and fostering a positive learning experience.
