Responsibilities:
  • The Electrical Construction Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for various electrical projectsPrepares cost estimates for all aspects of commercial or electrical construction projects up to $10M utilizing construction plans and specifications in accordance with company estimating guidelines and related industry standardsServes as front-line point-of-contact on behalf of company on bid daysPrepares estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of workCoordinates total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assignedNegotiates with vendors to insure quality and lowest cost possible on bid itemsSupports other department personnel as required; may include preparing estimates in other disciplines and assisting Project Managers with job start-up and change-order costsYou will provide estimating assistance and guidance to projects, develops conceptual estimates and performs cost analysisYou will be responsible for assisting in the development of discipline/service estimators, developing and updating historical databases, and assisting in the development of department procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator, with at least 1 years in a senior role.Proven expertise in estimating electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or residential projects.Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar tools).Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
