Project Estimator - Entry Level (Campbell, CA)

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Project Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and profitable job estimates, converting those estimates into successful bids, and supporting projects through completion. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates and proposals based on blueprints, plans, and project documentation.

  • Conduct quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers and foremen to ensure project goals are met.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Attend internal meetings to coordinate project planning and progress.

  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and ensure all interactions reflect company standards.

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and contribute to a safe, healthy work environment.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (any discipline; construction-related field preferred but not required).

  • 1-2 years of practical experience in project administration, estimating, or a related field is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of building and framing layouts, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.).

  • Valid California driver's license with insurable driving record.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform occasional physical tasks related to site visits.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required
