Job description

THE ROLE: 
The Senior Analyst, ESG Data Management, will report to the Director of Sustainability Strategy, and be part of the companyโ€™s Sustainability Team, within Worldwide Operations.  
In this role, the Sr. Analyst will maintain our global and centralized ESG database, leading the collection, calculation aggregation & analysis of Herbalifeโ€™s sustainability-related data.  This includes internal cross-functional and regional teams coordination, generating performance reports, and problem-solving on data management with consultancies and third party support. The Sr. Analyst will also enable alignment with global ESG standards and best practices and support meeting the requirements of regulations, disclosures, internal controls and third-party assurance.  
This person will maintain our global and centralized ESG database, coordinate data collection activities, generate performance reports, and prepare audit materials. The role will also work with to evaluate, standardize and continuously improve our ESG data collection processes, policies and procedures.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: 
โ€ข    Ensure data quality, integrity and auditability, and continuously improve processes to adapt to an evolving Sustainability landscape.
โ€ข    Manage ESG databases by training all users and data contributors, developing and optimizing data & systems interoperability (as needed), and identifying database optimization.
โ€ข    Develop data collection, calculation and aggregation schedules in line with review, assurance and reporting timelines.  
โ€ข    Support the preparation of  third party assurance materials, including final datasets, supporting evidence, process narratives / flow charts, reporting manuals & other required forms.
โ€ข    Perform any other duties supporting the companyโ€™s Sustainability strategies and global ESG compliance


WHATโ€™S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM: 
Herbalifeโ€™s Sustainability organization, is a team of individuals that bring expertise and experience from ESG, International Compliance, GHG accounting and Finance. The team is responsible for the development of sustainability strategies and the implementation of initiatives, by working cross-functionally and across regions, as well as with external groups. The team ensures that the strategy, internal policies, initiatives, and goals under the program align with the relevant global regulations and the companyโ€™s overall strategy and operational objectives.  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 
โ€ข    5 years of work experience in an ESG/Sustainability related field or a combination of ESG/Sustainability and financial accounting, information technology, data management, economics, or engineering  
โ€ข    Experience or knowledge in ESG reporting standards & frameworks (e.g. IFRS, TCFD/CDP, GRI, SASB, ISSB), tools (e.g.: Watershed), and knowledge of emerging compliance requirements related to ESG disclosures (e.g. CA SB253, CA SB261 & CSRD) 
โ€ข    Direct, first-hand experience with GHG accounting (Scopes 1-3) and some knowledge of associated standards and requirements (GHG Protocol, SBTi, etc.) 
โ€ข    Strong analytical background and comfort with Excel (i.e. sophisticated formulas, V Lookups, pivot tables) 
โ€ข    A great teammate and self-driven problem solver with proven success stewarding cross-functional teams, monitoring multiple projects and satisfying deadlines 
โ€ข    Self-guided, thorough and superb communication skills 
 
Education 
โ€ข    Bachelorโ€™s Degree (or equivalent work experience) in financial accounting, information technology, systems and data management, economics, engineering or an ESG-related field
