An Ergonomics Intern assists in evaluating and improving workplace environments to ensure they are safe, comfortable, and efficient for employees. Their responsibilities often include conducting ergonomic assessments, collecting and analyzing data, and recommending changes to reduce injury risks. They may also help implement ergonomic solutions, develop training materials, and support ongoing health and safety initiatives. As an Ergonomics Intern, you can expect to be involved in a variety of hands-on and analytical tasks, such as conducting ergonomic assessments of workstations, assisting with data collection on employee postures, and recommending improvements to enhance comfort and safety. Interns often collaborate closely with safety professionals, engineers, and human resources to develop and implement ergonomic solutions.
