Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced part-time Ergonomist to join our dynamic team. As an Ergonomist, you will play a key role in assessing, designing, and implementing ergonomic solutions tailored to meet the needs of our clients. Your expertise will contribute to improving workplace conditions, preventing injuries, and enhancing overall employee satisfaction and productivity.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments of workspaces, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and risk factors.
  • Analyze data and gather information to develop comprehensive ergonomic recommendations and solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate ergonomic principles into workplace design and layout.
  • Provide ergonomic training and education to employees and management on proper techniques, posture, and equipment usage.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of ergonomic interventions through follow-up assessments and adjustments as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, research, and best practices in ergonomics to continually enhance services and offerings.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to clients and internal teams in a clear and professional manner.
  • Contribute to the development of ergonomic tools, resources, and guidelines to support ongoing initiatives.
  • Manage and book all personal travel arrangements and logistics related to assigned ergonomic projects. (All travel expenses are reimbursed in full upon project completion)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed (Travel for 2-3 days twice per month)
  • Certification in ergonomics from an accredited organization
  • Proven experience working as an Ergonomist or in a similar role, preferably in consulting or corporate settings.
  • 5+ years of ergonomic work experience
  • In-depth knowledge of ergonomic principles, methodologies, and assessment tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in utilizing ergonomic software and tools for analysis and reporting (REBA, RULA, NIOSH, etc.)
  • Certification in Ergonomics (e.g., CPE, AEP, CEAS, CIE, etc)
    • Additional certifications are a plus, but not required (CSP, CIH, OSHA 2255, OSHA 511, ASP, OHST, etc.)
