Job Summary:

In this role, you will participate in the administration, engineering and problem solving associated with warranty services for utility-scale renewable energy projects, mostly solar photovoltaic. You will collaborate with engineering, construction, start-up and supply chain disciplines regarding warranty matters. Your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard engineering techniques and criteria will enable you to make impactful contributions to the team.

This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-RM1

Major Responsibilities:
  • Tracks and responds to customer warranty claims using the Bechtel online warranty software application
  • Collects data and information from the power plant owner and operator to troubleshoot issues and evaluate the validity of the warrant claims
  • Provides input to and/or maintains technical logs and records
  • Collaborates with other disciplines (engineering, construction, start-up, and supply chain) and subcontractors to determine the best correctiveactions
  • Provides direct support to and coordination with subcontractors and repair personnel
  • Ensures that correction actions are completed on time
  • Coordinates development and presentation of material when requested
  • Prepares or assists in preparation of reports for or meetings with the customers
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires a University Hire (BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university, Electrical or Civil discipline preferred) with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Good communication skills are required.
  • Prior experience working on electrical power systems is preferred.
  • Prior experience manipulating and plotting engineering data is preferred.
  • Prior experience working directly with customers is preferred.
