JOB SUMMARY

The US Payments Solution Specialist is a high-impact, client-facing role dedicated to driving commercial growth and building out our book of operational activity. Operating at the intersection of Sales and Product, this role partners directly with Sales teams to lead complex client pitches, diagnose corporate treasury challenges, and structure bespoke, end-to-end payment solutions.

Rather than selling off-the-shelf products, this role focuses on winning mandates by designing sophisticated, future-proof treasury architecture. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to corporate treasurers and CFOs, leveraging deep technical expertise in global payment rails, ERP/TMS integrations, and working capital optimization to convert complex client requirements into highly efficient operational setups.

Responsibilities include:

  • Commercialization & Go-To-Market (GTM) Execution:
    • Product Commercialization Strategy: Own and execute the commercialization roadmap for new and existing payments products, translating complex technical capabilities into highly differentiated, value-driven market offerings.
    • Drive Revenue & Adoption: Accountable for meeting commercial KPIs, including transaction volume growth, product adoption rates.
    • Packaging & Pricing Structuring: Partner with product management to design competitive commercial packaging and pricing frameworks that maximize profitability while remaining highly attractive to corporate treasurers.
  • Strategic Coverage Alignment: Act as the primary payments specialist partner to Industry Coverage teams, systematically identifying high-potential payment opportunities within their existing client portfolios and by expanding their client portfolios.
  • Sales Readiness & Upskilling: Design and deliver comprehensive enablement programs, playbooks, and training sessions to equip Coverage teams with technical fluency, competitive positioning, and discovery questions needed to qualify payments opportunities.
  • Joint Client Engagement: Co-pilot high-value client meetings alongside Coverage, acting as the technical and structuring authority to build credibility, handle complex objections, and accelerate the sales cycle.
  • Pipeline Management & Joint Planning: Conduct regular portfolio reviews with Coverage leads to map out target names, build a robust pipeline of operational activity, and coordinate proactive client outreach.
  • Deal Structuring & Mandate Winning:
    • Bespoke Solution Structuring: Collaborate with Coverage to diagnose complex corporate treasury challenges and structure tailored, end-to-end payment architectures (e.g., unified payments orchestration, ERP/TMS integrations, and liquidity optimization setups).
    • Operational Book Expansion: Focus on winning operating mandates that secure the client's primary clearing, cash management, and transactional flows, ensuring long-term, sticky operational balances and transaction fees.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in transaction banking, corporate treasury, or payments solution engineering, with a proven track record of driving commercial growth and expanding operational books of business.
  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing solution structuring, sales enablement, or technical product specialist role, with a history of directly partnering with Coverage (Relationship Managers and Corporate Bankers).
  • Demonstrated success in winning high-value corporate payments mandates and securing primary clearing and cash management flows through structured RFPs and competitive bids.
  • Deep technical fluency in global payment rails, specifically US payments rails.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience designing competitive pricing frameworks, commercial packaging, and incentive programs to drive product adoption and maximize profitability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of acting as a trusted advisor to corporate treasurers, CFOs, and internal senior stakeholders

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States-based position is $125000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
