Job description

Epicor Kinetic ERP Specialist

R&L Spring Company / Medicoil - Lake Geneva, WI

This position requires regular onsite presence at our Lake Geneva, WI facility.

Candidates should be located within a reasonable commuting distance.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ERP Business Analyst serves as the company's functional Epicor Kinetic resource, partnering with users and process owners to improve business processes, system utilization, data quality, reporting, and user adoption. The role works across Production, Planning, Purchasing, Inventory, Customer Service, Shipping, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and IT to translate business needs into practical, standardized solutions.

This is a business-facing ERP and process-improvement role. The analyst helps departments get more value from Epicor Kinetic, coordinates technical work with IT, Epicor, and outside consultants, and supports reporting and automation where they improve business performance.

Epicor power users are encouraged to apply. A previous formal analyst title is not required for candidates with strong manufacturing ERP experience, process knowledge, and the ability to work across departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the functional liaison among business users, process owners, IT, Epicor, and outside consultants for Epicor Kinetic.
  • Support and improve end-to-end ERP processes across order management, planning, production, purchasing, inventory, shipping, costing, finance, quality, and related functions.
  • Analyze business and system issues, identify root causes, and recommend sustainable solutions through process improvement, training, configuration, data correction, reporting, or controlled system enhancement.
  • Identify manual workarounds, duplicate entry, inconsistent system use, and master-data issues, then work with process owners to standardize and improve the underlying process.
  • Gather and document business requirements, current-state and future-state workflows, decisions, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop and maintain Epicor reporting and analysis using BAQs, dashboards, queries, exports, and related Kinetic tools; coordinate more complex technical work with IT or external resources.
  • Coordinate impact review, regression testing, user acceptance testing, issue tracking, and production-readiness activities for Epicor Kinetic releases and approved changes.
  • Partner with Quality, IT, and process owners to support change control and software-validation requirements for regulated processes.
  • Train end users, reinforce standard work, and help develop departmental Epicor subject-matter experts who can support adoption and escalate issues effectively.
  • Clarify KPI definitions, data ownership, and report logic; validate reporting against Epicor Kinetic and approved source systems before business use.
  • Develop or coordinate Power BI reporting when cross-functional analysis or visualization is better served outside Epicor-native reporting.
  • Identify practical opportunities to improve workflows through reporting, automation, and emerging technology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience working extensively with a manufacturing ERP system in a business, power-user, functional, process-owner, or analyst capacity.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes in areas such as production, planning, purchasing, inventory, customer service, shipping, costing, finance, quality, or engineering.
  • Experience analyzing business processes, solving system or data problems, testing changes, documenting procedures, and training or supporting users.
  • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, documentation, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both office and shop-floor employees and to translate business needs into clear, supportable system and process improvements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands-on Epicor Kinetic experience in a manufacturing environment; experienced departmental Epicor power users are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Epicor reporting or configuration tools such as Business Activity Queries (BAQs), dashboards, Application Studio, or Data Management Tool (DMT).
  • Exposure to Power BI, SQL, SSRS, BPMs, integrations, REST services, or other business-intelligence and automation tools.
  • Experience with ERP implementations, cloud releases, user acceptance testing, multi-company or multi-site processes, or continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in an IATF 16949, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, medical-device, automotive, or other quality-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, supply chain, operations, accounting, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Epicor Kinetic is used more consistently and effectively across departments and both companies.
  • Manual workarounds, duplicate entry, recurring user errors, and conflicting process interpretations are reduced.
  • Business issues are translated into clear requirements and resolved with the simplest sustainable solution.
  • Reporting is trusted, reconciled, documented, and useful for operational decision-making.
  • Users and departmental subject-matter experts are better equipped to follow standard processes and sustain improvements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role works regularly onsite in office and manufacturing environments to engage directly with users, observe processes, support testing, and understand operational needs. The employee must follow all applicable safety, information-security, confidentiality, quality-system, and software-change requirements. Limited travel may be required for training, user-group meetings, or vendor activities.
