The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter at the University of Utah is the first-of-its kind living-learning community fully dedicated to social impact and building a more prosperous society, driven by the next generation of purpose-driven students passionate about changing the world. Through our various initiatives, programs, and collaborations, we draw on the collective expertise and passion of students, thought leaders, and practitioners to empower students to turn ambitious ideas into tangible realities toward the betterment of people and the planet.
The Impact & Prosperity Epicenter is hiring a part-time student engagement coordinator to assist with administrative functions of launching the Epicenter including assisting with marketing and outreach efforts, assisting with events, supporting the application process, and assisting with communication and responses to inquiries and applicants. This position requires extensive interaction with prospective and current students, parents, and the university community.
Responsibilities
  • Assist leadership with outreach and recruitment, including registering for events, setting up and leading tabling events, tracking inquiries, etc.
  • Assist leadership with engaging students across campus and externally ( off-campus and high school audience) to provide information about the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter by participating in tabling, promotional events, and other outreach activities
  • Assist leadership with planning and booking the calendar of outreach events, as well as staffing these events
  • Assist leadership with info sessions and building tours Represents the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter when engaging with inquiries, applicants, University community, and external audiences.
  • May assist in responding to inquiries and applicants in person, over the phone, or email
  • May assist with creation or review of materials or reports Research potential audiences for outreach efforts
  • May provide general administrative support
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a current or incoming University of Utah student
Preferences
Current residents of the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter are preferred
