Position Overview

The Lead Integration Manager is a leadership role responsible for developing and managing EHR and system integration solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices. This role can involve mentoring a team of Integration Managers, overseeing integrations support and maintenance, leading cross-functional departments and IT application teams, and collaborating across all integration functions to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and technical standards. The Lead Integration Manager will act as an integration thought leader and subject matter expert in request intake, project analysis, design conversations, and maintenance.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Accountable for ensuring that integration solutions align with organizational goals, technical requirements, regulatory standards, and system architecture guidelines throughout the analysis, design, and solution development phases.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership, IT, clinical operations, and external partners to ensure strategic alignment and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee risk mitigation strategies and change management processes to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Define and monitor KPIs and OKRs for integration initiatives, providing regular executive-level reporting and insights.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and technology partners to ensure successful delivery and support of integration solutions.
  • Develop, write, and execute test plans to ensure that product requirements, quality system requirements, regulatory requirements, and design specifications have been met.
  • Provide expert knowledge of project management practices (management of scope, schedule, requirements, issues, and risks). Share best practices with others and find opportunities for process improvement.
  • Perform project scope assessments including overall feasibility and suitability recommendations, effort estimates, and subject matter knowledge requirements.
  • Develop and document new and updated processes and procedures.
  • Mentor, support, and guide Integration Managers, including delegating tasks and responsibilities and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Possess the ability to clearly communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, departments, and teams to drive alignment and visibility.
  • Consistently demonstrate leadership qualities, including, but not limited to leading with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage, and set a clear vision to energize teams towards the future.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Ability and means to travel 25% between Exact Science locations.
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in EHR integration, healthcare IT management, or IT project management.
  • Possession and maintenance of Epic Bridges certification throughout employment in position.
  • Deep expertise in EHR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner), integration solutions (e.g., point-to-point, API), and integration standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
  • Demonstrated ability to use strategic thinking and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data, solving problems, and clearly communicating solutions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency coordinating activities across multiple players, including vendors, subject matter experts, interface engine developers, and end users, to design, configure and test integrations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Competence with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH.
  • Proficient computer skills to include internet navigation and email usage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • PMI Project Management Certification.

$78,000.00 - $156,000.00
