Overview
About the Role
The Epic Resolute Professional Billing Senior Analyst functions as the primary support contact and expert for the Epic Resolute application. Works under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager to configure, build and install the application. The Epic Resolute Billing Analyst coordinates all issues that arise during the application build phase. Key operational activities include primary responsibility for analyzing workflows and understanding policies, procedures, and constraints of the clinical or business operations supported by the application. In depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality is required. Key technical activities include the analysis of new releases to determine how workflow should be modified, building and populating databases and tables during initial system configuration, conducting system testing and conversion data validation. Develops and documents internal procedures and establishes change control processes for the application. Develops user training aids and trains end users in workflow and use of the application. The Epic Billing Analyst functions as a contact to troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users during training, go-live and stabilization periods
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of the inpatient/outpatient revenue cycle environment and hospital operations, procedures/functions, and the relationships between them.
  • Exhibits solid knowledge of the revenue cycle workflows and the integration with clinical processes and practices including inpatient billing and professional billing and claims.
  • Documents, communicates, and assists in problem determination and resolution.
  • Provides analysis, design, and support of hospital systems, including testing, training, implementation, and on-going support.
  • Updates and maintains detailed project plans.
  • Independently interacts with Operational leadership, end users, vendors, and other related areas to gather requirements and compile data.
  • Assists in the installation of software and/or hardware systems. Works in concert with other IS&T Departments pertaining to
  • the planning and implementation of systems to ensure that IS&T standards are met.

Qualifications
What You'll Bring
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in a health-related discipline (Nursing, Pharmacy, etc.), Computer Science, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Science, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in information systems with preference given to candidates from a patient care environment.
  • Prior Epic experience in Resolute, Prelude, Grand Central or Cadence is highly desirable.
  • Must complete certification on an Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training.
  • Ability to maintain and assist in managing project work plans.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills working in a service-oriented environment.
  • Effective written and oral communications a must.
  • Established organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
  • The Billing Analyst must be a skilled communicator who makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Attention to detail is a critical skill for this position.
  • Successful candidates enjoy helping other users to learn and adopt to use the application. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
  • Additional relevant experience, or clinical expertise, may be substituted for information systems experience.

Preferred
  • Direct experience with electronic medical records is preferred.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is PS/30S: $89,754.00 - $108,480.00 - $129,432.00, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
