Job description

Clinical Quality & HEDIS QA Analyst - Epic & FHIR
Remote - Nearshore & Onshore Eligible ($66/hr), maybe $73 for the right person.
We're a team building healthcare interoperability infrastructure - where clinical intent makes it all the way through to accurate data. We need someone who can hold the line between what a HEDIS measure requires and what an API response actually delivers.
What You'll Own
Review and validate FHIR payloads to confirm clinical quality data is accurate, complete, and meaningful
Trace data from its origin in the EMR through transformation logic to the final API output, catching gaps along the way
Partner directly with HEDIS and clinical quality SMEs to understand measure intent and translate that into testable, repeatable QA criteria
QA Epic application outputs and API responses against clinical specifications
Map EMR data elements to FHIR resources and fields, documenting where things align - and where they don't
Surface data quality issues clearly enough that both clinical and engineering teams can act on them
What We're Looking For
Must-have:
Working knowledge of HEDIS measures or clinical quality concepts - you understand what the measure is actually trying to capture
Hands-on experience reviewing or validating FHIR payloads or other structured healthcare data
A QA mindset - you follow data upstream, question outputs, and document findings with precision
Comfort working directly with clinical SMEs and turning their language into structured test cases
Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
Nice-to-have - exposure to Epic Care Everywhere.
We'll train you on:
Epic-specific applications - certification and structured training provided
Deep FHIR resource mapping - if you understand the principles, we'll build the Epic-specific expertise together
This role is the critical bridge between clinical intent and data accuracy - where quality measures meet the code, and someone has to make sure both sides are telling the same story.
this is becoming one of the more important roles. Willing to stretch for the best person
they will need to test application configuration in additional to traditional cloud functions/apis/ and clinical quality
