Precision Manufacturing Costing Manager (AS9100) Who we are

Ketchie Inc. is a full-service precision CNC machine shop in Concord, North Carolina. We support government and commercial customers across Rail, Aerospace, Heavy Machinery, Industrial Equipment, and specialized OEM markets. We invest in people, processes, and technology so U.S. manufacturers can trust their supply chain.

Our AS9100-certified operation includes collaborative robots, pallet automation, 5-axis machining, turning, milling, broaching, EDM, grinding, and gear cutting.

What youโ€™ll do
  • Own the end-to-end RFQ process for designated customersโ€”from intake through quote delivery and order review.
  • Be the primary customer contact; coordinate technical conversations and cross-functional collaboration with sales, production, and quality.
  • Manage the RFQ queue for on-time, accurate, and compliant quotations; align priorities and timelines with the Sales Manager.
  • Build cost models that capture cycle time, material, labor, outside processes, and delivery requirements; prepare detailed quotations.
  • Assess profitability and competitiveness against company targets; upon order receipt, review margins and suggest adjustments as needed.
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD validate manufacturability with machinists, materials specialists, and quality.
  • Recommend process or method changes that enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Consult with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure accurate project execution.
  • Champion continuous improvement and a customer-first approach.

  • 7+ years of CNC machining experience with strong hands-on capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Robust understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters.
  • Experience with new part introductions and prove-outs.
  • Excellent planning, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred: Mastercam and/or Mazatrol experience.
