Position Overview
The Epic Patient Experience Application Architect supports the mission of OCHIN by playing a key role in the design of application features and functionality in the Epic software platform. The individual in this role is a member of a team of dedicated and innovative professionals whose focus is to strengthen standards and patterns, configure improvements and enhancements, and continually improve the quality and impact of our Epic platform. This individual will work in close partnership with various teams across OCHIN such as Install, Maintenance, QA, and Release. This individual must have strong understanding of Patient Experience functions for various facility types including Ambulatory, Acute, Critical Access, Long Term Care, Sole Community, Tribal Health, PACE, Home Health, Skilled Nursing, Behavioral, and Physical Therapy.
The individual in this role will elicit, analyze, specify, document and validate the business needs and technical requirements of project stakeholders, both internal and external.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant combination of education and experience, required
  • 10+ years of Application Analyst experience, with demonstrated increase in scope of responsibilities, required
  • Deep knowledge of Epic data structures and applications required
  • Current certification in the assigned Epic application(s), MyChart, Hello World and/or Cheers certification is required, Additional certifications, highly desired in Prelude, Welcome, Cadence
  • Experience with Epic Implementations and Community Connect, highly desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, required
  • Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service is required
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50-60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with th e OCHIN's nine core competencies. It's not about passing or failing-it's about understanding fit and setting you up for success.

Requirements
  • Experience in healthcare management preferred.
  • Experience in organizational management with the ability to work across teams to develop and execute operational projects preferred.
  • Experience in effectively leading a direct service organize with a complex array of programs with the ability to leverage strengths across program areas, excellent project management skills preferred.

  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN's business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Work Location and Travel Requirements
OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

Base Pay Overview
OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
