Position Description: RN - Lactation Consultant

The Lactation Consultant – RN provides specialized assistance to the breastfeeding mothers and infants, provides lactation education to the staff and customers, and serves as a role model for the staff in working with breastfeeding families. The Lactation Consultant utilizes the nursing process and clinical standards, delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team, is responsible for professional accountability and development, and serves as a resource for the staff.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse license
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • CLC or IBCLC
  • 3 years RN experience in Women's Health
  • Associates Degree in Nursing
  • Mother/Baby RN experience is strongly preferred
