Job description

We're looking for a Senior Manager to lead both Product and Engineering across multiple platforms and applications. In this role, you'll own the product vision end-to-end, from strategy and roadmap to hands-on execution with cross-functional teams spanning Product Managers, Designers, Software and Platform Engineers. You'll be a people-first leader who can grow and mentor a high-performing team while aligning everyone around a shared vision and navigating trade-offs between user experience, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.
You'll be embedded within the Manufacturing Design and Environmental Systems orgs, and managing a team distributed between Cupertino and Austin.Our team builds the applications and custom AI agents that enable Apple to manufacture every product we ship - it's high impact work at the core of Apple's operations. You'll be someone who anticipates problems without over-architecting solutions, and who can distill complex challenges into clear, simple outcomes. You'll also travel to Shanghai once a year to connect with our in-region counterparts and the end users who depend on what we build.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field10+ years managing software engineering or product teams5+ years leading a combined Product and Engineering organization with full cross-functional ownership across Product Management, Design, and EngineeringStrong understanding of software development, APIs, and platform/infrastructure conceptsProven track record of defining and delivering a product vision across multiple applicationsAbility to translate ambiguous business problems into clear product solutionsExperience partnering with senior stakeholders across functions and presenting to both technical and non-technical audiencesExperience managing distributed teams across multiple locations
