Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Environmental Cleaning Specialist to work in our Compactor/Chute Cleaning to maintain a clean and safe environment in our building. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the compactor and maintaining the trash chute and compactor room.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate the compactor and ensure all trash from the building is properly disposed of.
  • Maintain the trash chute and compactor room to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Perform preventative maintenance of the compactor and report any issues or needed repairs to maintenance personnel.
  • Assist with other cleaning tasks as needed, including sweeping and mopping of common areas.
  • Observe all safety guidelines and protocol while operating compactor and chute.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience operating a trash compactor and working with garbage disposal equipment
  • Attention to detail and ability to keep work area clean and organized
  • Ability to regularly lift and stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to communicate effectively and follow instructions reliably.
