Job Description:
Ready to lead at the intersection of supplier performance, program execution, and advanced space and imaging technologies? Join our growing Space Superiority & Imaging Division as a Program Manager, Subcontracts, where you will play a critical role in delivering high-visibility prime contract work that supports mission-focused innovation. In this role, you will lead a dedicated Supplier Management Team and serve as the key driver of subcontract performance across the full lifecycle. You will collaborate with internal program leaders and supplier executives to ensure the hardware and systems we procure meet demanding technical, schedule, cost, and production goals.
Essential Functions:
Act as the primary liaison between Program Leadership, IPT Lead, Engineering, Quality, Subcontract Manager, and supplier leadership/functional counterparts
Monitor and report technical performance of procured hardware and systems
Lead risk identification, mitigation, and escalation processes
Manage supplier production plans, delivery milestones, and budget health
Ensure all subcontract work meets or exceeds affordability requirements
Represent the program in occasional travel to supplier sites
Understand supplier Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and key Earned Value Management System (EVMS) metrics performance against IMS
Collaborate across Business Development, Finance, Contracts, Engineering, and Operations to ensure integrated program success
Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; or Graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
Previous work experience in a fast-paced continuous-change integration environment
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Law, or Business preferred
Experience in government and commercial contracting/subcontracting, managing supplier performance in the areas of technical scope, schedule, cost, and risk mitigation
Extensive management and leadership skills to lead cross-department project teams or manage projects across the enterprise
Ability to effectively use matrix organizations to win business and get results, with a demonstrated ability to lead high-performance teams
Able to interpret, condense, and present findings to audiences with variable skill sets and experience levels
Excellent presentation skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations, and external customers
PMP certification is preferred
Lean Six Sigma experience
Experience as Cost Account Manager for Subcontracts, managing budgets and sales forecasting
Ability to travel to supplier facilities periodically
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $127,500-$236,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont, and Virginia is $110,500-$205,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
