Job description

ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM MANAGER

Gibbs Die Casting Corporation is seeking an experienced Environmental Program Manager to lead and strengthen our environmental compliance and sustainability programs. In this position, you will report directly to the Director of EHS and work closely with a multi-functional team of safety specialists and occupational health professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental professional who enjoys working directly with manufacturing operations, solving problems, improving processes, and serving as a technical resource to plant leadership. In this role, you will have meaningful responsibility for environmental compliance, permitting, ISO 14001, sustainability initiatives, environmental projects, and regulatory relationships.

This is not a position where you will simply maintain paperwork and check compliance boxes.

You will have the opportunity to influence how environmental performance is managed across manufacturing operations, work alongside experienced operations and engineering professionals, and help identify practical solutions that protect our employees, our facilities, our customers, and the environment. You will also have exposure to a broad range of environmental disciplines—from air and water compliance to hazardous waste, ISO 14001, sustainability, environmental data, audits, and improvement projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead environmental compliance, permitting, reporting, and regulatory activities.
  • Manage programs involving air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, solid waste, and chemical management.
  • Lead and maintain the company's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Conduct environmental audits and inspections and drive corrective actions.
  • Support sustainability initiatives involving energy, GHG emissions, water, waste, recycling, and environmental metrics.
  • Evaluate environmental risks and develop practical solutions for manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinate environmental projects, assessments, sampling, investigations, and remediation activities.
  • Serve as a technical resource for environmental regulations and work with regulatory agencies, consultants, customers, and internal teams.
  • Develop and deliver environmental training and provide broader EHS support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, EHS, Environmental Sustainability, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of environmental, EHS, environmental engineering, or regulatory compliance experience.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to turn regulatory requirements into practical solutions for manufacturing operations.
  • Required certifications: DOT Hazardous Waste, RCRA Hazardous Waste Management, and ISO 14001 Auditor certifications, or the ability to obtain them.
  •

If you're an environmental professional looking for an opportunity to take ownership, make a measurable impact, and work closely with manufacturing operations, we'd like to talk with you.

Apply today for the Environmental Program Manager position with Gibbs Die Casting Corporation.
