What is an environmental law professor?
An Environmental Law Professor is a legal educator who specializes in teaching and researching environmental regulations, policies, and case law. They typically work at law schools or universities, instructing students on topics like climate change law, natural resource management, and environmental justice. In addition to teaching, they may publish scholarly articles, participate in legal advocacy, and advise on policy development. Many Environmental Law Professors have prior experience as practicing attorneys or policymakers in environmental law. Their role is crucial in preparing future lawyers and policymakers to address environmental challenges through legal frameworks.

They may also engage with legal practitioners and attend conferences to stay current on evolving legislation. Balancing teaching, research, and service duties allows for a dynamic and intellectually stimulating work environment.
