Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our Environment Resiliency team in the United States. This is a position for a dynamic individual looking for career growth in environmental consulting.

In this role, you willassist Project Managers (PMs) with environmental investigation,remediation, and permitting projects.You will oversee the day-to-day activities of junior-level staff; schedule and coordinate task resources and solicit guidance from senior-level technical staff and PMs.

Role accountabilities:

  • Data evaluation, design and modeling, and data visualization with software specific to your discipline
  • Develop conceptual site models for environmental investigations and strategize feasible remedial alternatives and long-term monitoring programs
  • Present data evaluations/visualizations and remedial alternatives to clients and regulatory agencies
  • Prepare and review technical documents and proposals with various technical and digital discipline inputs. This includes the coordination of figure generation, data management, work plans, and/or other required supporting documents with a geographically diverse interdisciplinary team
  • Ensure client compliance with regulatory requirements (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans [SWPPP] and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure [SPCC], National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System [NPDES])
  • Address client and regulatory comments on deliverables and drive the strategy in achieving comment resolution (with PM) Cost Estimating: prepare costs estimates to support establishing project budgets and evaluating subcontractor proposals
  • Coordinate subcontract agreements and all aspects of subcontractor tasks including scheduling, logistics, health, and safety

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Sciencedegree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline
  • EIT certification
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Working familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, or State level regulated remediation (e.g., State Voluntary Remediation Programs)
  • Familiarity with Power BI and similar data visualization software
  • Bachelor of Sciencedegree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline
  • 2 years of task management experience to include controlling scope, schedule, budget, and ensuring adherence to Health and Safety Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline

  • P.E. License
