Assistant Manager (Restaurant Operations)

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant

operations, with a primary focus on executing daily operations, developing team members, and

driving consistent performance.

This role serves as a key member of the restaurant leadership team and is responsible for

leading shifts, reinforcing standards, and supporting the development of Team Members and

Shift Managers.

This position is designed for a leader who is preparing to advance to a General Manager role by

building strong operational and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Support and Development
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to Team Members during shifts
  • Reinforce performance expectations and promote accountability
  • Support a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Assist in developing team members through on-the-job coaching and feedback

Operational Execution

  • Lead shifts and ensure execution of quality, service, cleanliness, and speed
  • Financial & Labor Support
  • Support labor and cost management
  • Follow cash handling and deposit procedures
  • Utilize reporting tools to support performance

Standards, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to operational and food safety standards
  • Conduct routine checks during shifts

Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of restaurant or retail leadership experience

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Flexible availability
