Job Summary:

Provides a clean and sanitary environment. Follows and completes assignment as given by Environmental Supervisor. Promotes a Word Class Environment. Serves as primary point of contact to patients, visitors and staff. This ties to the hospitals Quality Beacons of Excellence.

Essential Job Duties:

(These statements are intended to describe the essential functions and related requirements of persons assigned to this job. They are not intended as an exhaustive list of all job duties, responsibilities and requirements.)

  1. Performs cleaning of areas assigned in order to provide high quality as required by JC and State Board of Health.
  2. Communicates with patients and families to exceed their expectations
  3. Provide proper par levels of linen. To provide staff with adequate levels that meets but not exceeds in order to ensure cost levels are maintained.
  4. Contributes to a high performance work environment by attending meeting and training sessions as Scheduled.
  5. Works to maintain a safe work environment for patients, visitors and staff.
  6. Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

  1. Arranges furniture for meetings and workshops.
  2. Cleans assigned Nursing Service equipment in Emergency Services, OB LDR Rooms and C - Section Rooms.
  3. Skill & Abilities: For employees designated to drive hospital vehicles or personal vehicles of hospital patrons, possession of a current valid driver's license in the state of employee's residence with no evidence of unsafe driving is required.
  4. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
