Intercoastal Mortgage (Full-Time, Entry-Level)

Hybrid โ€“ Work from Home / Northern Virginia (Reston, VA)

About the Role
Weโ€™re seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Associate to join our mortgage lending team. This full-time entry-level position is ideal for a recent college graduate or someone with 1โ€“2 years of marketing experience.
In this role, youโ€™ll support brand initiatives, produce engaging content, and help deliver a high-quality marketing experience to our loan officers, partners, and customers. This position is perfect for someone who is task-oriented, curious, self-directed, detail-focused, has strong communication skills, and is a motivated team player.
This is a hybrid position with regular work-from-home days and required visits to our Reston, VA headquarters 2โ€“3 times per month. Must be willing to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Content Creation (30%)
  • Design digital and print marketing materials, including flyers, social media posts, email graphics, print ads, and collateral using InDesign and Canva
  • Maintain the brand content repository to ensure visual consistency across all assets
  • Collaborate with the team on campaign themes, visual direction, and creative concepts
  • Partner with the Compliance Department to ensure all creative materials meet mortgage industry regulations and company guidelines
CRM & Marketing Automation (30%)
  • Support brand marketing campaigns, including email blasts, workflow automation, and audience segmentation
  • Maintain accurate customer and partner data in the CRM system
  • Assist with reporting and performance analytics for email and marketing campaigns
  • Ensure all automated content, templates, and messaging comply with regulatory standards
Social Media & Video Support (20%)
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Marketing Specialist to plan and produce short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, etc.)
  • Capture and edit vertical video for social media platforms
  • Help execute the companyโ€™s social media strategy and posting schedule
  • Submit all social content for compliance review and make revisions as needed
General Marketing Support (20%)
  • Assist with event preparation, including creation of marketing materials and logistics
  • Help manage the digital asset library and marketing request queue
  • Research industry trends, competitors, tools, best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Provide administrative and project-based support to the Marketing Director and team
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field OR 1โ€“2 years of relevant marketing experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Canva and InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, especially Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred:
  • Experience in real estate, mortgage, or financial services
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and automation tools
  • Experience with marketing analytics (email metrics, social insights, campaign reporting)
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry compliance requirements (or willingness to learn)
