POSITION SUMMARY:

The Technical/Service Representative will work as part of the DuBois Technical Service Group to maintain and where applicable improve DuBois chemical treatment programs to our diverse client base. Dedicated and passionate service providers, our Technical/Service Representatives are focused on providing high service levels, lowering our customers' operating costs and consistently exceeding customer expectations.

The ideal Technical/Service Representative is a self-starter and enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment focused on customer service. In this position, the Technical/Service Representative will build and maintain customer relationships, either individually or in conjunction with our Sales Team, at various levels within our client's organization from maintenance personnel to upper management. The Technical/Service Representative enjoys rolling up their sleeves to get the job done while working on their own in client facilities' mechanical rooms primarily in the Industrial and Commercial market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining target chemical levels for established treatment programs at DuBois customer sites.
  • Developing and adhering to an efficient service schedule to match customer service profile. Completing the entire service schedule each month.
  • Regularly scheduled audit includes testing water or fluid samples using a portable lab and analyzing results at client sites, recording inventory and initiating reorders where necessary either directly or through customers' order process.
  • Daily data entry in an analytics platform and the ability to communicate anomalies clearly throughout the organization.
  • On-site troubleshooting resulting from non-conformances in water sample results and ability to repair/replace any defective equipment.
  • Identifying and implementing solutions to help our clients' water or chemical system operate at the lowest possible life cycle cost and proactively maintain them there.
  • Design, install, maintain and repair dosing equipment, controls and water conditioning systems to ensure DuBois programs operate properly.
  • Manage urgent and non-urgent customer requests for support relating to the operation of DuBois programs at their facilities.
  • Identify and quantify water and energy program savings.
  • Opportunity to design new water or process chemical treatment programs.
  • Maintain a customer service attitude to achieve an exceptional level of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for preparing and presenting annual business reviews to customers that entail both technical and financial elements (where required).
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post Secondary Education in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or Industrial applications.
  • Experience working in customer service and/or sales.
  • Exposure to working in industrial environments is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal partners within the organization.
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid Driver's license

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Type of position - Full-time
  • Hours a week: 40 hours
  • Direct Reports - None.
  • Travel - daily to customer sites. Overnight travel required once to twice per month. International travel may be required from time to time.
  • The Technical/Service Representative position is a full-time salary role. The Technical/Service Representative is a field-based position. Most of the workload is performed working independently within the client facilities. This includes, but not limited to: steam boiler room, mechanical room, industrial production facilities and health care facilities. This work is being performed at an assigned client list with varied contact types, including some challenging clients. The Technical/Service Representative will be expected to be available outside of standard business hours to support client satisfaction. This position involves substantial driving requirements to and from several client sites daily.

COMPENSATION:

  • Annual Salary Range expected to be $55,000 - $60,000. Actual salary will be based on combination of relevant education and work experience.
