Entry-Level HVAC Estimator

Location: Mound, MN (Training Onsite | Hybrid Potential After Training)

Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 + Bonus

They partner with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and design-build firms throughout the Upper Midwest to provide HVAC solutions for commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, and industrial projects.

Position Summary

They are seeking an Entry-Level HVAC Estimator who is eager to learn the manufacturer's representative side of the HVAC industry. This role offers hands-on training in estimating, reading construction documents, product selection, and working with contractors and consulting engineers.

Over time, this individual will become the company's primary estimator with opportunities to transition into sales leadership and potentially ownership.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare HVAC equipment estimates from construction drawings and specifications.
  • Review project plans and identify appropriate equipment selections.
  • Work closely with consulting engineers and mechanical contractors.
  • Support plan/spec and design-build projects.
  • Develop relationships with contractors and customers.
  • Learn manufacturer product lines and technical applications.
  • Assist with project coordination throughout the estimating process.
  • Grow into increased responsibilities within estimating and sales.
Qualifications
  • Technical school education in HVAC or mechanical systems preferred.
  • OR 1-3 years of experience with a mechanical contractor, sheet metal contractor, or HVAC company.
  • Ability to read construction drawings (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a desire for long-term career growth.
  • Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
