Title:                                 The Pub Hybrid Service and Support

Reports to:                       The Pub General Manager

The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company is a craft brewery and brewpub located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Situated in the town of Canmore, the Grizzly Paw Pub & Brewing Company has been in operation since 1996. Our brewing operations include a 20,000 square foot landmark brewery, a pub, restaurant, taproom, and event space.  

We are looking for outgoing and knowledgeable colleagues who is willing to learn and ready to provide our customers with memorable experiences!

 

Summary of Position:

This is a position for a detailed oriented individual, able to multitask, work efficiently and deliver high level service in a fast-paced work environment in a premier level brewery restaurant

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serving food and liquor responsibly, while providing guests with a excellent dining experience. Must be knowledgeable in our products, brand, and local area
  • Perform daily tasks such as cleaning, stocking, organizing
  • Ensuring safety of our guests by verifying age and identification, responsible liquor serving
  • Ensuring comfort of our guests by delivering timely, thoughtful and friendly customer service
  • Provide support and training to colleagues as required
  • Bus tables: Keep good table maintenance before, during and after the guest's dining experience
  • Expedite food: Make sure the food looks presentable, has all the correct sauces and modifications (if any), is safe for any allergy requests, and arrives at the tables in a timely manner.
  • Host: Greet guests in a welcoming and friendly manner, check their ID's and proof of vaccinations and bring them to the designated table. If there is a waitlist, you must quote an accurate wait time. This position also requires the employee to make sure all reservations have tables ready for them at the time of their arrival as well as make new reservations when the books are open.
  • Accurately take orders and engage all patrons while promoting our products and sharing extensive beverage knowledge
  • Be familiar and personable to locals and our regular guests including Mug Club Members
  • Ready and willing to work in a service role which may include direct contact with the public and or vendor representatives.
  • Follow all required Health, Safety, Prevention & Sanitation procedures always
  • Provide support and training to colleagues as required
  • Maintain proper audit track records, follow company policies & procedures
  • Develop and maintain close and effective working relationship with all supporting departments
  • Consider the environmental impact of all decisions
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
  • The number of shifts for each role is based on restaurant needs, volume and aptitude of the colleague.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Position requires walking/standing for extended periods of time
  • Position may require heavy lifting up to 160.5lbs (kegs, furniture, etc.)
  • Strong hospitality experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess a current Proserve status
  • Entry level Beer Server Cicerone certification preferred
  • Team player with a positive Attitude
  • Strong Beer Culture Knowledge
  • Trustworthy
