Full Steam Staffing is seeking an energetic, motivated, and bilingual (English/Spanish) individual to join our internal team as an Entry-Level Safety Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Regional Safety Manager, you will support workplace safety initiatives, conduct site inspections, assist with injury management, and help ensure Cal/OSHA compliance throughout the Central Valley region.


This is a field-based position requiring travel between client sites, branch offices, and medical clinics. No extensive safety experience is required—we provide training, mentorship, and OSHA certification opportunities.


Job Title: Safety Coordinator

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Modesto, Madera, and Merced, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime and travel as needed


ResponsibilitiesSafety Compliance & Inspections
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and Job Safety Audits at client sites.
  • Monitor and help enforce Cal/OSHA compliance standards.
  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with job site hazard assessments and PPE compliance.
  • Respond to employee and management questions regarding workplace safety requirements.

Safety Training
  • Conduct employee safety orientations and training sessions in English and Spanish.
  • Support the implementation of accident prevention programs.
  • Promote adherence to company safety policies and procedures.

Incident Response & Workers' Compensation
  • Assist with accident investigations and incident documentation.
  • Coordinate injury management and communicate with medical providers.
  • Support Return-to-Work and modified duty programs.
  • Assist with reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol testing procedures.

Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain safety records, accident reports, and Cal/OSHA logs.
  • Prepare weekly safety reports and documentation.
  • Track and organize safety-related records and compliance paperwork.

QualificationsRequired
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Modesto, Madera, and Merced areas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups and conducting training presentations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in staffing, human resources, manufacturing, warehouse operations, safety, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of OSHA or workplace safety standards.
  • Experience conducting training or working directly with employees.

No prior safety experience required. Training will be provided.


Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs or ladders when necessary.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and industrial environments.
