Job Description
Albemarle is hiring for a Senior Corporate Finance and SOX Compliance Analyst. The Analyst will support compliance related to enterprise-wide AI, automation, and agility efforts. Additionally, they will support SEC reporting deadlines, SOX compliance management, audit support, and other recurring financial close deliverables.
This position is hybrid (3 days/week in office) and located in Charlotte.
What You Will Do
โ€ข Bring creativity and curiosity to our talented team
โ€ข Utilize your strong accounting knowledge and can-do attitude to collaborate with your team
โ€ข Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and rollforwards
โ€ข Prepare fluctuation analyses to understand and explain changes in account balances over time
โ€ข Research and consider the accounting for special projects and transactions
โ€ข Team with and support internal and external audit teams
โ€ข Support SOX compliance activities including segregation of duty analyses, SOC reporting review management, and SAP Upgrade SOX assessment management.
โ€ข Partner with control owners to assess control design, identify process or documentation gaps, and drive timely resolution of SOX-related issues
โ€ข Use creativity to problem solve and suggest opportunities for improvement
โ€ข Leverage artificial intelligence and make recommendations on how use of AI can be expanded
โ€ข Manage the governance framework for artificial intelligence impacting SOX
What You Bring
Required:
โ€ข BS in Accounting or Finance
โ€ข Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience
โ€ข Strong interpersonal skills, superior intellect
โ€ข Proven ability to work in fast-paced, detailed, and deadline-oriented environment
โ€ข High proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
โ€ข Financial analysis and critical thinking skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability
โ€ข Team player with flexibility to shift priorities
