The IT Support Technician - Second Shift is responsible for providing timely and effective technical support to ensure continuity of operations during non-standard business hours. This role supports production, warehouse, and business users by resolving technical issues, maintaining IT assets, and contributing to service desk efficiency. The position is critical to minimizing downtime and aligning IT services with second shift operational demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide after-hours technical support to address critical incidents and minimize operational disruptions

  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to system access, hardware, and applications

  • Support production and warehouse systems to ensure uptime during second shift operations

  • Maintain and track IT asset inventory, including equipment audits and usage monitoring

  • Improve service desk processes and response efficiency

  • Develop and maintain knowledge base documentation for common issues and resolutions

  • MS Windows AD Administration

  • Support and maintain handheld device admin (iPhone, Android phone, Zebra PDA)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects and operational support needs

  • Support external partners (e.g., 3PL) and internal teams during second shift operations

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 2+ years of IT support or service desk experience preferred

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and user access issues

  • Experience supporting production, warehouse, or manufacturing environments is a plus

  • Ability to work independently during off-hours with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Work Environment
  • Second shift (2pm-10pm or similar hours) schedule aligned with business operations

  • On-site support for production and office environments

  • Coordination with first shift and on-call IT teams as needed
