Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM

Reports To: Social Media & Marketing Lead

Create Content That Inspires Millions of Reptile Keepers

The Bio Dude is one of the industry's leading brands in bioactive reptile keeping, reaching hundreds of thousands of reptile enthusiasts across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and beyond.

We're looking for a creative, self-driven Social Media & Marketing Specialist who can create compelling content, tell engaging stories, produce professional-quality videos, and help grow one of the most recognizable brands in the reptile industry.

This is not an entry-level social media position. We're seeking someone with professional experience creating digital content, managing social media channels, filming and editing video, and developing marketing campaigns that produce measurable results.

If you're equally comfortable behind a camera, inside Adobe Premiere, creating graphics in Photoshop, writing engaging copy, and brainstorming the next viral idea, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll DoContent Creation
  • Create high-quality videos, graphics, photography, and digital content for social media, YouTube, email marketing, and our website.
  • Write engaging product descriptions, promotional copy, educational articles, and marketing materials.
  • Maintain a strategic content calendar across multiple digital platforms.
  • Create content that educates customers on responsible reptile and amphibian care.
Video Production
  • Film professional-quality videos for YouTube, social media, tutorials, care guides, product launches, and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Edit video using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent professional software.
  • Create compelling thumbnails, titles, and video descriptions optimized for YouTube SEO.
  • Maintain a consistent publishing schedule.
Social Media Marketing
  • Plan, schedule, publish, and manage content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
  • Develop social media campaigns that increase brand awareness, engagement, and sales.
  • Engage with our online community by responding to comments and messages professionally.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to expand audience reach.
Digital Marketing & SEO
  • Create digital assets including advertisements, email graphics, website banners, promotional materials, and product imagery.
  • Optimize website content and product listings using SEO best practices.
  • Conduct keyword research and improve search visibility.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and promotional launches.
Analytics & Growth
  • Monitor analytics across YouTube, Meta, Shopify, Google, and other marketing platforms.
  • Track campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform A/B testing on advertisements, creative assets, posting schedules, and messaging.
  • Generate reports and recommend strategies based on performance data.
What We're Looking For

  • Professional experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, content creation, or brand marketing.
  • Experience filming and editing professional-quality video.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating photography, videography, graphic design, or digital marketing work.
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling abilities.
  • Experience growing or managing business social media accounts.
  • Knowledge of social media algorithms, SEO, analytics, and digital marketing trends.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a creative team.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • A passion for creating engaging content that performs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Advertising, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, etc.).
  • Experience with Canva.
  • Experience with Shopify.
  • Experience with Google Workspace.
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, or similar analytics platforms.
  • Photography experience.
  • Drone videography experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the pet, reptile, aquarium, outdoor recreation, hobby, or e-commerce industries is highly desirable.

  • Keep reptiles, amphibians, or other exotic animals.
  • Have experience creating educational content.
  • Understand bioactive enclosures and naturalistic vivariums.
  • Have built or grown successful YouTube or social media channels.
  • Enjoy being on camera as well as behind it.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry camera equipment, products, and marketing materials up to 40 pounds.
  • Stand, kneel, crouch, bend, and reach while filming and photographing products and animals.
  • Comfortably work around live reptiles and amphibians in a professional environment.
  • Work in warehouse, office, retail, and studio environments.
