THE ROLE

Our client, an acute care hospital in Cypress, TX, is seeking a full-time permanent RN Clinical Manager for its Operating Room (Days Cypress unit). The Clinical Manager is responsible for the direct oversight and operational management of the OR department, ensuring clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and effective staffing. This is a direct hire position reporting to senior nursing leadership with one vacancy currently open.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day operational management of the Operating Room unit
  • Oversee nursing staff performance, scheduling, and professional development within the OR
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and facility policies
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthesiology, and multidisciplinary teams to optimise OR throughput and patient outcomes
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and equipment
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical metrics
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation of OR nursing personnel

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

  • ★ Active RN Texas License — current and in good standing, clear of stipulations or disciplinary actions; or active multi-state compact RN license
  • ★ BSN degree; BLS certification current
  • ★ Minimum 2 years of OR (acute care) nursing experience
  • ★ Minimum 3 years of current OR management experience — defined as supervisor, assistant clinical manager, clinical manager, or director
