Job description

Galveston County Health District is seeking an experienced and compassionate Tuberculosis Program Manager (RN) to oversee and manage all components of the District's Tuberculosis Program. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the Galveston County community!

What You'll Do:
Oversee and manage all components of the Tuberculosis Program
Provide direct patient care and case management for TB clients
Conduct contact investigations and high-risk population screenings
Perform nurse clinic assessments and home visits for TB clients
Respond to disease outreach activities and high-risk exposure situations
Provide technical assistance and treatment guidance to community partners
Prepare charts and assist the TB Clinician and/or Local Health Authority with patient assessments and treatment procedures
Collaborate with leadership to evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvement initiatives
Provide orientation, education, and training related to TB program responsibilities
Supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and assist with staff development and performance management
Promote excellent customer service and assist with cross-training efforts
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, public health regulations, and organizational policies
Assist with public health emergency response efforts as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse
Minimum one (1) year of supervisory and/or program management experience
Preferred experience in a public health clinic or program
Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Strong presentation and training abilities
Knowledge of healthcare operations, public health regulations, and compliance standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to travel locally for home visits and outreach activities
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed
Must comply with immunization and ICS training requirements
Must pass background check, MVR check (if applicable), and drug/alcohol screening
