Pay Rate: $40.00-$44.00 per hour


Position Summary:


We are seeking a detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to support pricing activities for special job requests from external customers within the residential heating and air conditioning business.

The Pricing Analyst will work closely with the pricing department, sales teams, management, and internal stakeholders to review quote requests, analyze pricing data, evaluate equipment matchups, and support pricing decisions that help maximize revenue and align with competitive market expectations.

This role is well suited for someone with strong analytical skills, intermediate Excel experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively across multiple teams.


Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Analysis and Quote Support

  • Critically analyze pricing quote requests from external customers.
  • Review equipment matchups, competitive data, and market pricing levels to determine appropriate pricing.
  • Accurately price quotes to support revenue growth and business objectives.
  • Analyze competitor pricing and market expectations to support target pricing decisions.
  • Evaluate pricing requests for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with pricing guidelines.
  • Identify pricing trends, discrepancies, or opportunities through data analysis.

Quote Administration

  • Administer new pricing quotes in accordance with internal processes.
  • Process changes to existing quotes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate quote records and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure pricing updates are communicated clearly to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Follow established database systems, pricing tools, and internal protocols.

Cross-Functional Communication

  • Work closely with management, sales, the pricing department, and internal business partners.
  • Communicate pricing recommendations, questions, and updates clearly and professionally.
  • Support internal stakeholders by providing accurate and timely pricing information.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve pricing questions or quote-related issues.
  • Serve as a back-up to pricing team members as needed.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Use data analysis to support pricing decisions and problem-solving.
  • Review pricing data, competitive information, and market inputs to assist with quote accuracy.
  • Use Excel tools such as VLOOKUP and PivotTables to analyze pricing information.
  • Learn and navigate database systems, pricing platforms, and internal protocols quickly.
  • Support reporting or analysis requests related to pricing, quotes, and revenue opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to solve problems using data analysis.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate database systems and internal protocols.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in pricing, finance, business analysis, sales operations, procurement, or related analytical roles.
  • Experience supporting quote administration, pricing reviews, or customer request analysis.
  • Experience working with sales, pricing, finance, product, or operations teams.
  • Experience in HVAC, residential heating and air conditioning, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Strong understanding of competitive pricing, market pricing, and revenue optimization.
