About DTMB:
The supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About this position:
This position is responsible for reviewing and processing statewide purchasing requests for standard IT Hardware and Software in SIGMA. Ensures issuance of orders are within the scope of the contracts; and that all purchasing rules, regulations, policies and procedures are followed. Assists with contract compliance efforts for DTMB specific contracts. Works with Accounts Payable to review and resolve problem invoices. Documents vendor issues in SIGMA

Position Location:This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Experience
Procurement Technician 7
One year of administrative support procurement experience in a purchasing office equivalent to the experienced level, or one year of experience in the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and materials equivalent to the 7 level.
OR
Completion of a one-year college level business program may be substituted for the entry level (7 level) experience requirements.
Procurement Technician 8
One year of experience equivalent to a Procurement Technician 7, or one year of administrative support procurement experience in a purchasing office equivalent to the advanced level, or one year of experience in the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and materials equivalent to the 8 level.
Procurement Technician E9
Two years of experience equivalent to a Procurement Technician, including one year equivalent to a Procurement Technician 8.
Procurement Technician 10
Three years of experience equivalent to a Procurement Technician, including two years equivalent to a Procurement Technician 8 or one year equivalent to a Procurement Technician E9.
Alternate Education and Experience
Procurement Technician 7

Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between
15 and 35 personal days and

12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
