Telehealth-Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for Clinical Research Trial

Position Summary:

RD Nutrition Consultants is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) for a part-time, 100% remote Telehealth role supporting a long-term weight management clinical research study. This position focuses on providing structured nutrition and lifestyle counseling to adult participants enrolled in a medication-based research program.

The anticipated workload is approximately 2-6 hours per week supporting up to 30 active participants. The ideal candidate is experienced in weight management counseling, comfortable following standardized study protocols, and skilled at delivering effective care in a virtual setting.


Position Details

  • Part-time schedule: Average 2-6 hours per week
  • Participant load: Up to 30 active participants
  • Visit structure:
    • One initial baseline nutrition assessment
    • Ongoing scheduled follow-up counseling sessions over the course of the study
  • Visit format: All services delivered remotely via Telehealth
  • Scheduling: Flexible hours based on participant availability, typically between 9AM-1PM
  • Compensation: $37.00-$40.00 per hour depending on experience


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive initial nutrition assessments and establish individualized care plans consistent with study guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing nutrition and lifestyle counseling during scheduled Telehealth visits.
  • Deliver evidence-based guidance related to:
    • Calorie intake and macronutrient balance
    • Protein and hydration needs
    • Sustainable behavior change strategies
    • Physical activity support
  • Review participant self-reported diet and activity information prior to counseling sessions.
  • Accurately document all encounters and participant progress in accordance with study requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with internal research staff as needed to support study objectives.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all documentation and privacy standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Active NC, TX, MO, TN dietitian licensure preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in weight management and familiarity with related treatments.
  • Proficiency in Telehealth technologies for the delivery of remote counseling services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and a commitment to patient privacy.
