These roles provide valuable hands-on experience and training in construction skills, safety protocols, and the remodeling process. Entry level remodeling positions are a great way to start a career in the construction industry, offering opportunities for advancement as you gain skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level remodeling professional?

Type: Full-time

We're looking for an experienced residential remodeling carpenter to join our field crew.

About Us

Savage Remodeling is a growing remodeling business based in Conshohocken, PA. We take pride in craftsmanship, professionalism, and delivering high-quality work to homeowners. More than anything, we value reliability and dependability. Our culture is built on trust: showing up, being accountable, and respecting the team and the client. If you can’t be relied upon to show up on time and ready to work, this isn’t the place for you. If you are dependable and want to build a career in carpentry, you’ll fit right in.

No drama — we show up, we clean up, we treat homeowners with respect. If you want to hustle with integrity, you’ll fit.

Work Location

We are based in Conshohocken, PA (zip 19428). Most of our projects are right here in Conshohocken or within a 30–40 minute radius. The closer you live to Conshohocken, the better, since this is our central hub and starting point for all work. Applicants must live within 25-30 miles of Conshohocken ZIP 19428. Reliable transportation is required

This is not an entry-level helper position. We are looking for someone with hands-on residential remodeling experience who is comfortable working independently on assigned tasks while working under the direction of a lead carpenter.

Our projects include kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and other residential renovations, primarily in occupied homes. Work may include demolition, framing, doors and trim, cabinetry, flooring, tile, drywall repairs, punch-list work, and general residential carpentry.

The right person should be comfortable with:

• Accurate measuring, layout, and cutting

• Residential framing

• Interior doors, casing, baseboard, and finish carpentry

• Working in older homes where walls and floors are not always square

• Drywall installation and patching

• Flooring and general remodeling work

• Assisting with tile installations

• Reading the next steps of a project and staying productive

• Taking direction from a lead carpenter and asking questions when something is unclear

• Working carefully, cleanly, and respectfully in occupied homes

We are looking for someone who already understands the fundamentals of carpentry but is also willing to learn our company's methods and quality standards.

You do not need to know everything. We care about craftsmanship, reliability, efficiency, honesty, communication, and being coachable.

This position works directly with an experienced lead carpenter. You should be able to take an assignment, understand the objective, and carry it through without constant supervision.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Residential construction or remodeling experience

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

• Basic hand tools

• Dependable attendance

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential remodeling work

• Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person field crew

Full-time W-2 position.

What We Offer

  • Overtime pay (time-and-a-half)
  • Paid time off
  • Medical, Dental and Vision
  • Training and growth opportunities
  • A work culture where reliability, craftsmanship, and respect are valued above all

How to Apply

In your application, tell us:

  • Why you want to work in carpentry
  • How your past employers would describe your reliability
  • Your availability to start

Company Description

At Savage Remodeling, we believe great projects start with great people. We’re not a giant corporation where you’re just a number. You’ll be part of a small, growing team where your work and reliability are noticed and appreciated every day.

We value trust, craftsmanship, and dependability. If you show up ready to work, you’ll always have steady hours, respect on the job site, and the chance to grow with us. Helpers can develop into skilled carpenters, and carpenters can grow into leads. We promote from within whenever possible.

You’ll be working on a variety of remodeling projects where you can take pride in seeing the finished results and know you made a real difference for homeowners. Our team culture is simple: work hard, show up for each other, do quality work, and go home knowing you’re building more than just houses, you’re building a reputation you can be proud of.
