Gasparini Construction Company is an established Central New York residential construction and remodeling company serving homeowners throughout the Syracuse area.

Our team specializes in high-quality residential renovation and construction projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, home additions, custom carpentry, trim work, and other interior and exterior improvements.

We are looking for an experienced Residential Remodeling Carpenter to join our team and contribute to a wide variety of custom residential construction and renovation projects.

About the Role

The Residential Remodeling Carpenter will perform a variety of rough and finish carpentry duties on residential remodeling, renovation, and construction projects.

This is a full-time, year-round opportunity for a skilled carpenter who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, is comfortable working in customers' homes, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Projects may include kitchen and bathroom remodels, basement renovations, home additions, interior renovations, exterior structures, and other custom residential construction projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, professional, and able to consistently produce high-quality work in an active residential construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry on residential remodeling and renovation projects.
  • Frame walls, openings, additions, and other residential structures.
  • Install interior and exterior doors, windows, trim, molding, baseboards, and other finish carpentry.
  • Install cabinetry, shelving, blocking, and other built-in components as required.
  • Work on kitchen, bathroom, basement, addition, and whole-home renovation projects.
  • Perform demolition and prepare work areas for remodeling and construction.
  • Read and work from plans, drawings, measurements, and project specifications.
  • Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials.
  • Identify jobsite issues and communicate potential problems to the project supervisor.
  • Work effectively with other carpenters, construction team members, subcontractors, and project managers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
  • Protect customers' homes, belongings, and finished surfaces throughout each project.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, saws, and other carpentry equipment safely and correctly.
  • Follow company quality standards, safety procedures, and applicable construction requirements.
  • Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners while working in occupied residences.
  • Assist with additional construction and remodeling responsibilities as needed.
QualificationsRequired
  • Previous professional experience in carpentry, residential construction, remodeling, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction and carpentry methods.
  • Experience using common carpentry hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, level, square, assemble, and install materials.
  • Ability to perform rough and finish carpentry work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a construction crew.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems encountered during renovation projects.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor when working in customers' homes.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of construction work, including lifting materials, bending, kneeling, climbing, standing, and working for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation to work and project locations.
Preferred
  • 3–5+ years of residential carpentry or remodeling experience.
  • Experience with kitchen and bathroom remodeling.
  • Experience with finish carpentry, cabinetry, doors, windows, molding, and trim.
  • Experience with framing and residential additions.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, plans, and blueprints.
  • Experience working on custom or high-end residential renovation projects.
  • Experience with additional trades such as drywall, flooring, painting, siding, tile, or general residential construction is a plus.
Compensation

$25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.

Paid overtime opportunities are also available.

Schedule

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position.

Overtime hours are available and paid. Additional hours may be required or available depending on project schedules and business needs.

Work Location

Projects are located throughout the Syracuse / Central New York area, with work primarily performed at residential customer properties.

Candidates should be comfortable traveling between residential project locations as required.
