To thrive as a Remodeling Professional, you need strong carpentry, construction, and project management skills, often supported by relevant experience or vocational training. Familiarity with industry-standard tools, blueprint reading, and knowledge of building codes—plus certifications like OSHA safety—are typically required. Remodeling Professionals often encounter challenges such as unexpected structural issues, delays due to material shortages, and navigating client changes during the project. Join Our Team as a Remodeling Service Technician

Make a Difference Every Day — With a Company That Feels Like Family

Are you a skilled remodeling professional who enjoys making spaces better — and lives easier? At Mr. Handyman of South Bend and Elkhart, we're more than just a repair service — we're a trusted family business with over 20 years of experience and a reputation built on care, quality, and craftsmanship. We're growing our team and looking for a dedicated Remodeling Service Technician who shares our values.

Why Join the Mr. Handyman Family?

1. Compassionate Culture: We treat every team member with respect, kindness, and appreciation. From your first day on the job, you'll feel valued.

2. Rewarding Work: Whether you're transforming kitchens, repairing bathrooms, or improving commercial spaces, your work directly impacts the safety, function, and beauty of our customers' homes and businesses.

3. Strong Team Support: Enjoy a structured environment with a back-office team that handles scheduling, communication, and logistics — so you can focus on what you do best.

4. Career Growth: With mentorship, paid training, and advancement opportunities, we'll help you continue growing as a professional and a person.

Position: Remodeling Service Technician

Location: South Bend & Elkhart Area.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Complete residential and commercial remodeling and repair projects — including drywall, painting, tiling, carpentry, door/window installs, and more
  • Communicate clearly with customers about project scope and timelines
  • Use an iPad and ServiceTitan software to document work and maintain records
  • Uphold company values through professionalism, cleanliness, and attention to detail

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in remodeling, home improvement, or commercial maintenance
  • Strong skills across multiple trades (drywall, tile, carpentry, painting, light plumbing/electrical)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A genuine desire to help others and solve problems with integrity
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive pay: $28–$35+ per hour based on experience
  • Company vehicle, tools, iPad, and uniform provided
  • Health insurance and retirement plan with employer match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Career development and growth opportunities

If you're ready to bring your skills to a team that values craftsmanship and compassion, we'd love to welcome you. Apply today and discover what it means to work with a company that truly cares — about its customers, its community, and you.

Remember, we're looking to hire only the best. If that's you, APPLY TODAY!

Should you meet the requirements for the position, our system will schedule you for an interview immediately.

You are applying to work for a franchise owner of Mr. Handyman, not Mr. Handyman SPV LLC or any of its affiliates. If hired, the franchise owner will be your only employer. Franchise owners are independent business owners who are solely responsible for their own wage and benefit programs that can vary among franchise owners. This job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
