A Team Home Services - Hutto, TX

Pay: $16-$25/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Job Summary

A Team Home Services is seeking a motivated Carpenter, Handyman & Remodeling Apprentice to join our growing team!

This position is ideal for someone with basic experience in construction, carpentry, remodeling, or residential home repairs who wants to build a long-term career in the skilled trades. Working alongside experienced technicians and installers, you'll receive hands-on training while assisting with a wide variety of residential projects throughout the Greater Austin area.

The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional workmanship and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with residential remodeling projects including kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and general renovations
  • Support demolition, material preparation, installation, and finish work
  • Assist with carpentry projects including framing, trim, doors, cabinetry, shelving, and wood repairs
  • Help install vanities, cabinets, flooring, fixtures, hardware, appliances, and other residential components
  • Perform basic drywall repairs, patching, tape and float, painting, and finish work
  • Assist with general home maintenance and repair projects
  • Learn basic plumbing fixture installation and minor electrical fixture replacement under supervision
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize tools and materials
  • Follow project scopes, layouts, safety procedures, and company quality standards
  • Keep tools and equipment clean, maintained, and organized
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Continue developing technical skills through hands-on training and mentorship
Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in occupied residential homes professionally
  • Ability to lift at least 55 pounds Preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry, construction, remodeling, handyman work, maintenance, or related trades
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Carpentry
    • Drywall repair
    • Painting
    • Flooring
    • Home maintenance and repairs
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
