Job description

Job Title:         Product Engineer
Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration:         24 Months (Possibility of Extension/Conversion)
Location:         Fargo, ND 58102
Shift:                9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Flexible)

Role Overview

Design, modify, and evaluate PCB (Printed Circuit Board) products for rugged environments. Support product development, testing, and design activities as an entry-level electronics engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop PCB layouts using CAD tools
  • Support product design, testing, and analysis activities
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to solutions
  • Assist in feasibility testing and validation of designs
  • Support development of engineering standards and specifications
  • Identify process gaps and support continuous improvement
  • Maintain technical documentation and data records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Core Duties (PCB & Design Focus)

  • Perform PCB component placement and routing using Xpedition CAD
  • Analyze technical requirements and support design decisions
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
  • Participate in design reviews with internal teams and manufacturers
  • Support part library data maintenance and validation
  • Contribute to process improvements and engineering projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Open to Spring 2026 graduates
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and schematics
  • CAD software experience (academic or professional)
  • Strong communication (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work with guidance in a team environment

Technical Skills
