We are seeking an analytical, team player who has an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative problem-solving skills to join our highly intelligent engineering team. As a Sr. Product Software Engineer, you will report directly to our Software Development Manager and will be working on VibrationVIEW.

As a Sr. Product Software Engineer, you will:

  • Design and write C# and/or C++ code using Test-Driven Development Techniques
  • Develop user-friendly software with knowledge of solution context, including data needs and usage, user personas, needs and feedback, system design flow, and prior problem areas.
  • Develop software after evaluating information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas as assigned.
  • Master agile development methodologies, help adapt agile implementation to needs of the business, aid in development meetings to maximize value, clarify requirements with product owner by asking questions and envisioning use-cases, mentor entry-level co-workers on process, deliver working software increments each sprint that meet desired uses, help improve process by providing retrospective feedback to co-workers.
  • Own the development lifecycle process and monitor effectiveness. Modify process as appropriate by determining changes needed and implementing with the team.
  • Knows how customer is using the product and can infer what features might be needed in the future. Creates an architecture which is designed to accept these future features.
  • Provide system and program documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments as needed.
  • Review other's code and automated tests, look for test scenarios not covered with tests, and provide feedback. Understand where the issues are. Understand functional testing that is required to ship software. Confirm system and program operation by conducting rigorous testing.
  • Find missing pieces in documentation, fix errors, provide feedback.
  • Present on technical aspects of software and engineering concepts to co-workers and end users
  • Handle complex, cross-functional problems. Prevents recurring problems with holistic solutions. Provides mentorship on problem-solving approaches and techniques.

We believe a Sr. Product Software Engineer will be successful if they are equipped with the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology or equivalent experiencerequired, master’s degree preferred
  • 7+years of software development experiencerequired
  • Demonstrated experience with C# and C++
  • Ability tomaintaina high levelof integrity and confidentiality in working with sensitive, confidential records and information
  • Highly effective technical and analytical skills and sound judgement
  • Highattention to detailandqualityfocus

  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing, Control Theory, and Embedded Realtime Control Theory
