Job description

Mechanical Engineer (SolidWorks & Manufacturing)

About the Role Sikky Manufacturing is expanding! We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and help drive the design and production of our diverse product lines. This is a unique opportunity to work across two high-energy divisions: our proprietary Sikky automotive performance brand and Xgen, our contract manufacturing arm serving industrial and defense sectors.

You will be a key part of our engineering workflow, taking projects from initial concept through to the finished product. We are looking for a collaborative professional who is a SolidWorks expert and understands the nuances of designing for real-world manufacturing.

Compensation:

$80,000 - $105,000

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Product Development: Work alongside our existing team to design, prototype, and refine new products for the Sikky brand.
  • Manufacturing Solutions: Support our Xgen contract manufacturing clients by reviewing technical specifications and ensuring designs are optimized for our CNC and fabrication capabilities.
  • High-Level CAD Modeling: Utilize SolidWorks to create robust 3D models, detailed assemblies, and precision 2D production drawings.
  • ISO Quality Support: Help maintain our ISO 9001:2015 standards by managing the documentation and version control required for critical industrial and defense contracts.
  • Production Integration: Interface with the shop floor to ensure a smooth transition from design to physical part, troubleshooting any manufacturing challenges that arise.

Qualifications:

Required Experience & Skills

  • Professional SolidWorks Proficiency: Significant experience in a professional engineering environment is required. You should be fluent in part modeling, complex assemblies, and industry-standard drawing practices.
  • Manufacturing & DFM Knowledge: A solid grasp of machining and fabrication processes. You design with the end process in mind.
  • Quality Standards: Experience working within (or a strong understanding of) an ISO 9001:2015 environment.
  • Technical Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal team members and communicate technical requirements to external customers.
  • Versatility: Comfortable shifting gears between high-performance automotive projects and high-spec defense/industrial work.

Why Join Sikky?

  • At Sikky Manufacturing, we don't just dream up ideas—we build them. Joining our team means stepping into a fast-paced, high-precision environment where "good enough" isn’t in our vocabulary. We operate at the unique intersection of high-performance automotive engineering and mission-critical industrial and defense manufacturing.

What We Offer
