Structural Design Engineer Our client is looking for a talented Structural Engineer or Designer to join the team and help deliver high-quality structural plans and layouts for new construction, additions, and renovations. Responsibilities include: - Develop structural layouts, plans, and calculations for residential projects including new construction, additions, and renovations - Collaborate with architects, designers, and builders to translate design concepts into permitted, buildable structures - Prepare construction documents ready for permitting across NC jurisdictions - Conduct site inspections and provide consultation support as needed - Ensure all work meets applicable building codes and safety standards Requirements: - Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field - Experience with residential structural design and drafting - Proficiency in AutoCAD - Experience with wood-frame construction Preferences: - Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering - Experience at a residential focused engineering or design firm
