Job Description:

  • Assist with the structural design and documentation of new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects.

  • Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports for a variety of building types and structural systems.

  • Supervised structural analysis and design using computer software and hand calculations.

  • Participate in site visits, structural assessments, and construction administration activities.

  • Collaborate directly with architects, contractors, owners, and other design professionals throughout project development.

  • Contribute to projects utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and cold-formed steel structural systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Master's degree is a plus.

  • 1-3 years of professional structural engineering experience.

  • EIT certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire preferred.

  • Experience preparing construction documents and structural calculations.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit, including preparation of plans, details, and incorporation of project markups.

  • Experience with steel and concrete design; experience with wood, masonry, or cold-formed steel design is a plus.

  • Familiarity with mixed-use developments, renovation projects, and existing structures is a plus.

  • Familiarity with structural analysis and drafting software such as RISA-3D, Tekla Tedds, RAM, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Willingness to engage in a variety of projects, take on new challenges, and learn new skills.

  • Desire to approach design from a holistic and multidisciplinary mindset.

  • Eligible to work in the United States.
