Analytical Technician (Entry-Level)
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $24-27/hr, Depending on experience
Assignment: 1 year contract, ability to extend or convert

Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking an Analytical Technician to join the Analytical R&D Team within a Crop Protection Discovery and Development organization in Indianapolis. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for recent chemistry graduates or candidates with laboratory experience who are looking to grow their technical skills in analytical chemistry while working with advanced instrumentation in a collaborative research environment.
 
Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of Analytical R&D scientists to support sample weighing, preparation, and analysis of active ingredients, intermediates, impurities, and formulation products for quantitative and qualitative purposes.
  • Support non-GLP and GLP method validation laboratory experiments as needed.
  • Learn and operate analytical instrumentation for sample analysis, including HPLC, GC, LC/GC/MS, Karl Fischer titration, and other related techniques.
  • Perform routine maintenance of instruments and troubleshoot instrument issues to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Process analytical data and document experiments and results in a timely manner to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Effectively interact with key stakeholders and maintain flexibility to accommodate urgent projects and reprioritize work as needed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently when required.
  • Meet all EHS&S (Environment, Health, Safety & Security) compliance needs and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field required.
  • Previous laboratory experience required (academic, internship, or professional).
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, LC/GC/MS, Karl Fischer titration, or titration methods strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to continually learn and adhere to all safety standards and laboratory protocols.
  • Strong desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated with drive, enthusiasm, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to following all laboratory safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
