Job description

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaners to join our team of talented industrial cleaners in Wayne County, MI. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in various environments, including industrial and commercial spaces. This position requires a strong commitment to janitorial and sanitation standards and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

We are currently hiring for full-timepart-time, and contingent positions at job sites in the following zip codes: 48214, 48205, 48126, 48101, 48209. EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! 

Full Time Day Position: 7am -330pm

Part Time Afternoon Position: 3pm-1130pm

Part-Time: 8-24 hours per week

Contingent: Scheduled as needed, up to 24 hours per week.

Weekends: Candidates must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Requirements:

  • Successful candidates for this position are required to have BOTH a VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE and a Vehicle to access their assigned job site.
  • Employees must have a smartphone and be able to use apps for time keeping and payroll activities without exception (Android or Apple)
  • Employees must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of verifiable Industrial or Commercial Cleaning Experience. This is NOT an entry-level job.

Duties

  • Perform industrial cleaning and sanitizing tasks in production and processing areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Fabricate cleaning solutions as necessary for different surfaces and materials.
  • Conduct regular custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Manage waste disposal processes efficiently while adhering to environmental guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness in warehouse areas by organizing supplies and ensuring that all surfaces are free from debris.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
  • Clean both inside and outside areas as assigned. Exposure to weather, extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) are standard in these environments.
  • Follow the posed Janitorial Schedule at your assigned job sites without exception.

Skills

  • Experience in sanitizing environments, industrial or processing settings, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with custodial practices, commercial cleaning techniques, and industrial cleaning standards is REQUIRED.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50lbs unassisted) as required for various cleaning tasks is required.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while working independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attendance is required to be successful in this position
  • Knowledge of proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies is advantageous.
