Job description

PrideStaff is seeking a Financial Analyst to perform essential daily accounting tasks, including maintaining the general ledger, reconciling bank accounts, preparing journal entries, and assisting with monthly/year-end close processes. This role supports financial reporting by analyzing accounts, managing accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Typical requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. 

Pay Rate $25-$30 hourly. Shift Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Ledger & Reconciliations: Maintains the general ledger, reconciles bank accounts, and balances accounts, including cash disbursement and payroll.
  • Month-End Close: Prepares journal entries, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
  • Financial Reporting: Assists in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and profit-and-loss statements.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, and manages vendor/customer inquiries.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensures compliance with tax regulations and assists with internal/external audits.
  • Budgeting: Assists in developing and analyzing budgets. 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience, often required, though some entry-level roles exist.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
