About the job

The Material Handler II supports production operations by managing inventory, verifying

shipments, and ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time to meet manufacturing

schedules.

We're looking for someone who

● Holds a high school diploma or equivalent

● Has a minimum of 4 years of experience in an assembly or production environment

● Has experience verifying shipments against packing slips and purchase orders

● Demonstrates strong inventory control experience, including cycle counts and data entry

into MRP systems

● Has experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and company

transport vehicles

● Is able to diligently follow production schedules and meet deadlines

● Is comfortable using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications

● Has experience with pcMRP or similar MRP systems (preferred)

● Communicates effectively with leads and supervisors regarding shortages or production

impacts

● Demonstrates attention to detail, organization, and a team-oriented mindset

What you'll do

● Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips

● Collaborate with internal departments to resolve missing, damaged, or incorrect deliveries

● Sort and deliver parts to production floors, work areas, stores, and point-of-use locations

● Perform daily cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records in the MRP system

● Fill material requests to ensure production schedules are met

● Arrange and inspect pre-assembly kits and sub-kits for production lines

● Operate forklifts, company trucks, and other material handling equipment

● Assist with inventory control and disposition of scrap parts and equipment

● Support process improvement initiatives within the assembly area

● Temporarily fill in line stations when needed

● Maintain general housekeeping of production facilities

● Complete special projects and assignments as directed by the supervisor

Physical requirements

● Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with or without accommodation

● Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the production facility for

extended periods

● Must be able to safely operate material handling equipment

● Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
